Its present interface and store availability were not verified, so the phone is the dependable fallback. VINELink at 888-846-3469 can support custody and release notification, but it is not a court record or a full arrest history.

How to Look Up Seneca County Arrests
Lead with the channel that answers the immediate question, then move to the office that owns the document. A focused request needs a date or range, location, involved person, report type, and incident, CR, or booking number when known. A County FOIL form asks for the record description, requester signature and contact data, represented party, mailing address, phone, and email. The DCJS FOIL guidance confirms that official rap sheets remain outside the public name-request route. The county form says a denial appeal may be filed within 30 days to the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors at 1 DiPronio Drive. It does not state a report fee, identification rule, or submission email. Call Records before sending it.
What an Arrest Record Shows
The Seneca County incident report and booking file answer different questions. The first explains the reported event and arrest basis. Seneca County Arrest Fingerprints Reach DCJS
For a fingerprintable misdemeanor or felony under CPL 160.10, the arresting agency sends fingerprints and arrest data to the DCJS State Identification Bureau. DCJS reports that it accepts these transactions continuously and usually processes an arrest transaction in under 15 minutes. The resulting rap sheet returns to the submitting agency, prosecutor, and court for charge and arraignment decisions. Courts and prosecutors later report dispositions and sentences back to DCJS.
This statewide arrest cycle is not open to public name searching. A person can request a suppressed or unsuppressed copy of their own record through IdentoGO, using service code 15464Z or 15465F. The posted fee is $17.50 as of February 2, 2026. An attorney may use the authorized subject-review route, but a member of the public cannot order another person's DCJS rap sheet.

Seneca County Arrests at CAP
The Centralized Arraignment Part operates twice daily in the Sheriff's Office lobby. A person held after arrest may first appear there before the prosecution returns to the town or village court named in the paperwork. This can place the first judicial record at CAP while the later docket belongs to another local court. Ask booking or the clerk which court will handle the next appearance.

The jail lists inmate cash, third-party cash, inmate or third-party credit card, and combined bail methods. Remote payment through GovPayNet at 877-392-2455 requires the defendant's name, date of birth, booking number, court and judge, and cash-bail amount. The nonrefundable service fee is 8.5 percent, and accepted cards are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Funds become the defendant's property, so any court refund goes to that person.

Legitimate bail payment uses the secure service or an in-person method. The Sheriff's 2026 warning says it does not use PayPal or Venmo for bail.

Arrests vs Convictions
An arrest record shows that an agency alleged an offense and took enforcement action. A conviction exists only after a guilty plea or verdict and a court judgment. Seneca County booking staff can confirm custody, but they cannot turn the booking entry into proof of a court result. Conversely, a court certificate can state the outcome without supplying the officer's full incident narrative.

Spelling differences, reporting lag, local-court coverage gaps, and sealed outcomes can break the link between systems.
